Honoring Truth Building Bridges- National Truth and Reconciliation Day
Join us for an engaging and meaningful session designed to help newcomers learn about Canada from a First Nations perspective. Explore the history, resilience, traditions, and lived experiences of Indigenous peoples through traditional stories, teachings, and the firsthand experience of a Sixties Scoop survivor. Learn about the significance of September 30, the legacy of residential schools, and pathways toward healing and unity. This session provides an opportunity to build respect and understanding, celebrate cultural diversity while honouring Indigenous traditions, and take part in reconciliation through listening, learning, and sharing.
