Ukrainian Women’s Wellness Club: Creativity, Connection, and Support

Newcomer Ukrainian women joined creative art activities at the Ukrainian Women’s Wellness Club in Brampton. Through painting, participants found a safe, welcoming space to express their thoughts and emotions, cope with stress, and connect with others on similar journeys.

The club provided a calm and supportive environment where women could explore their creativity, lift their spirits, and ease feelings of loneliness. Many participants shared that these sessions helped them feel part of a community and brought moments of joy, peace, and emotional balance.

One participant reflected on her experience:

“I am very grateful to Catholic Crosscultural Services for the wonderful meeting and the opportunity to meet new people. This event allowed me to step away from the heavy thoughts related to the war and immerse myself in creativity. Drawing became a way to express my emotions and find inner peace. The group’s warm and supportive atmosphere made the meeting even more valuable. Such moments help you feel connected and give you strength to move forward.”

“Events like these also open doors to new opportunities for personal and professional growth. Art allows you to relieve tension and reminds you that, even in difficult times, there are moments of beauty and hope. I am sincerely grateful for this support, which is an important part of my journey.”
